All money donated goes towards sports wheelchairs, adaptive equipment and travel expenses. Wheelchair sporting equipment is extremely expensive with the average chair costing approximately 2,000 dollars. Most, if not all insurances, will not pay for sport chairs or adaptive equipment for sports. We are offering several levels of sponsorship each being fully tax deductible through our non-profit organization Northern California Wheelchair Athletics (N.C.W.A.).
We are very excited to have one of our local athletes Joseph Chambers as a part of our Championship level basketball team. Joseph is a Para Olympic athlete who has represented the USA several times in wheelchair basketball. Joseph has always wanted to have a local wheelchair basketball team to represent his home area and this is an opportunity we are supporting Joseph to pursue. This is an example of how your money is used to help people with disabilities in the community. We have been working with newly injured people locally to try and encourage them to get out into adaptive sports for a better quality of life.
